Vasant Panchmi marks preparation for the arrival of Sprint in northern hemisphere and celebrated Indian subcontinent.
Vasant Panchmi is celebrated at temples, gurudwaras and communities across New Zealand. Saraswati Puja is performed in most of the temples across New Zealand on this day. Students pray to goddess Saraswati and seek blessings for good education.
This day is also known as Basanta Panchami or Sri Panchami. This festival is also observed by section of Indian Muslim Sufis.
