Shri Krishna Janmashtami in New Zealand is celebrated in almost all temples and by various community association. Most of the temples in New Zealand starts celebrating Shri Krishna Janma Ashtami about 5-7 days in advance with Katha, Prayers, Aarti and Kirtan.
Tithi / Panchang
Ashtami tithi starts on 11th Aug afternoon 3.37pm in Auckland and 9.06am in India. Janmashtami will be mostly celebrated on 11th Aug in India.
Since Ashtami tithi is starting on 11th Aug after sunrise, few communities and ISKCON shall observe Krishna Janmashtami on 12th Aug.

- Maa Durga Temple Sri Krishna Janmashtami Utsav, 9th Aug to 11th Aug 7pm onwards at Maa Durga Temple, 4/3 Onslow Ave, Manukau Auckland.
- Christchurch Fiji Association Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations. 4th to 9th Aug 9pm to 9.30pm at Woolston Community Hall, 502 Ferry Road, Christchurch. 10th Aug at Sanatan Hall, 19 St John Road, Woolston. 11th Aug at Bromley Community Hall, 45 Bromley Road, Bromley.

- Bhartiya Mandir Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations, 11th Aug 4pm onwards till midnight with Garba and Utsav. Katha from 4th to 10th Aug, 7.45pm to 9pm. At Bhartiya Mandir, 252-254 Balmoral Rd, Mt Albert, Auckland
